Pray for the Peace of Jerusalem
“Pray for the Peace of Jerusalem. May all who love this city prosper“
Psalm 122:6
Violence, bloodshed and hatred have never been far from the people of Israel. But through the centuries this call continues: “Pray for Peace”. It is what we all yearn for, it is the cry of humanity in this turbulent world. Nothing, no one in all of history have been able to bring peace to our lives, to our hearts. Two thousand years ago, a backyard Rabbi, walked into Jerusalem and all of the vitriol of hell was unleashed against him, pinning him to a Roman cross. In this terrible, horrific moment Jesus cried out “Father forgive them for they don’t know what they are doing.” His forgiveness brought peace into the heart of one of those who crucified Him. In the midst of chaos, horror and heartache, His peace.
Jesus is Peace. Jesus is the only Peace.
For you. For Jerusalem.
Pray!
